22 Pushup Challenge: Raising Suicide Awareness
If you utilize social media at all, then your newsfeed has been swept with suicide awareness challenges like the Ice Bucket Challenge, or the #BostonStrong campaign.
Today, on World Suicide Prevention day, I want to tell you about another social media campaign called 22 Pushup Challenge. This challenge where you do 22 push ups to show respect to and honor those who have served in the armed forces. Celebrities and athletes have joined in, and this campaign is successfully raising suicide awareness for both suicide prevention and the current challenges for veterans of war.

Here’s the pertinent info if you want to participate yourself:
– Complete 22 push-ups a day for 22 days
-Share this by nominating people, or giving some effort to the cause in any way you can
-It’s okay to modify your push up to meet your health status, take breaks, or split them up throughout the day
-Nominate someone. Try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do the activity
This small act is a simple and way to get the word out about a matter that deserves awareness.
