Hey everyone, let’s meet at SmartCare!
The demand for conservative healthcare options is high in the River Valley, proven to me daily by the number of people seeking chiropractic care. My house call routes have been overflowing since 2017 in the River Valley.
As of January 2023, I will meet patients at an office in Dixfield on Wednesdays instead of doing house calls. I am making the necessary changes to allow me to provide more appointment times and better serve this area’s requirements for chiropractic care.
Enter our friend Dr. Cody St. Germain at SmartCare Physical Therapy. He has agreed to rent the use of a treatment room at his location at 94 Weld St, Dixfield, ME. Providing chiropractic care from the SmartCare office allows me to serve more patients each Wednesday and creates a clinical setting where complimentary providers are now under one roof.
Utilizing the office space allows me to remove the travel time and the “setup and take-down” times from the equation in the River Valley.
I am still doing house calls in the Jay Livermore Farmington routes on Monday and Thursday, and I will continue to visit Farmington Livermore/LF and Jay businesses on Fridays.
Thank you
Accepted payment types are checks, cash, and credit/debit cards. For your convenience, you may choose (optional) to securely store your payment information on file. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted. You will get a receipt via email or text after payment is collected.
Detailed receipts for insurance self-submission are available upon request at the end of the active care plan. Please contact your insurance provider for the details of your specific insurance coverage and self-submission of any paperwork.
This appointment is about finding the right approach for you or your family member. If more than one person is going to become a patient, please let the doctor know.
When you book your first appointment, you will complete the steps via email to create a secure patient profile.
Parents/gaurdians can create profiles for their children, but they must start by creating their accounts. Please complete the intake and consent forms online before the day of the appointment. You can opt in to receive email and/or text reminders of your appointment details.
After you become established as a patient, you will thoroughly review your medical history and complete a chiropractic examination at your first meeting with Dr. Cory. The examination could include height and weight, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration measurements. Chiropractic examinations can include orthopedic assessments and various neurological tests, which may be required to determine if chiropractic care is necessary or appropriate.
During any necessary follow-up visits, Dr. Cory will evaluate your progress and provide a specialized session based on your needs. You can expect appropriate chiropractic adjustments, biofeedback such as breathing or balance exercises, and addressing soft tissue.
This recommendation comes when a burst of appointments is required to provide active care. Active treatment consists of acute and chronic active/corrective types of care.
This is *generally 4-6 adjustment sessions, then re-evaluation.
After an active care plan is complete, patients can elect to continue with wellness-minded visits. These are usually once-monthly visits scheduled three to six months in advance. These appointments focus less on chiropractic services and more on movement or nutrition programs, brain training and stress reduction work, or other long-term strategies for living healthier lives.
